MACKIE, JOHN FELTON F/L (P) 39886 - Royal Air Force. From Regina, Saskatchewan. Killed In Action April 14, 1941 age 25. # 33 Squadron (Loyalty). Hurricane aircraft was taking off when it was shot down by an enemy ME-109 fighter aircraft. Flight Lieutenant Pilot Mackie was an ace having destroyed seven enemy aircraft. He is buried at Eleusis, Greece.

The Globe And Mail (December 8, 1943) has someone refered to as
A. J. Mackie from Regina recieving the American DFC. Brother in bomber command?
